15 People People Reported Dead In Osun Vehicle Accident

People of Akoda town in Ede South LGA in Osun state, Nigeria are presently mourning the tragic death of 15 hawkers and traders.



A road vehicle accident involving an 18-seater commercial bus and a fuel tanker at Akoda junction has caused the death of about 15-people.

The petro tanker is said to belong to the NNPC (Nigeria National Petroleum Commission) was said to have lost control and went off road running over some road side petty traders and hawkers.


"An eye witness who spoke to Channels Television said that the tanker, which was coming from Osogbo, had earlier hit a car at Owode Ede, before hitting the stationary bus with passengers on board."

Many of the victims that died were said to have been badly mutilated, while survivors were rushed to hospitals.
