Kogi Speaker Impeached by 5Five Lawmakers

There has been an arousing controversy over the impeachment of the House of Assembly speaker in kogi state, as out of 20-members of the house 5 (five) lawmakers sat on Tuesday and purportedly removed the Speaker, Honourable Momoh Jimoh.

A new speaker of the house, Umar Imam was also choosen by the lawmakers.

As journalist were briefed about the impeachment by Friday Sani, said for not carrying other members of the house along in the affairs of the house, the speaker was impeached

Since the new Governor , Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the Speaker are both from the same senatorial district, the speaker should leave the seat of the speaker of the house, he said.

While, about 15 members of the house were seen at the impeached speaker's residence saying that Hon. Jimoh remains the speaker and that their signature was forged to carryout the impeachment.
