45th Convocation Ceremony of AFIT Kaduna |
The Air force Institute of technology graduated another set of students on the 29th of July 2016 at its 45th convocation ceremony held at the Air force base Kaduna.
A total number of 451 students were graduated from different departments and courses; 6 MSc students in Aerospace vehicle design in collaboration with the Cranfield university, United Kingdom; 18 PGD students in Aerospace engineering and Logistic & Supply Management.
Others were, 207 National Diploma students & 132 Higher National Diploma students from various academic disciplines. Of this numbers, we have; 166 Nigerian Air force students,110 Civilian students, 8 Nigerian Navy students, 4 Ghanaian Air force students and 2 students from the Nigerian Army.
The Special Guest of Honour was the Honourable Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu.

Dr Ogbonnaya speaking at the occasion, applauded AFIT for its contribution to manpower development especially in the area of aerospace science and technology in Nigeria and beyond. “The unique position of the Institute in providing requisite training in aerospace in Nigeria and other countries, coupled with its recognition by a number of local and international regulatory bodies, attests to its high academic standard and best practices."
He also charged and advice the graduating students to step up the game of locally produced products and services and not to relent on only learning to use imported ones but to see to how we can develop products, machines e.t.c by our self using more oflocal materials

The event was really nice, as it was also my own personal graduation. I started a course there two years ago.
