
On Tuesday, The Kogi State governorship Election Petition Tribunal commenced proceedings.
Justice Alima Mohammed who headed the tribunal, to enable parties in the suit to exchange briefs however adjourned the sitting of the tribunal to 4th of march 2016 for pre-trial hearing.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) deputy governorship candidate in the election, Representative in a petition ask the tribunal to declare him governor.
The new governor, Yahaya Bello did not participate fully in the polls and as such can not become the governor according to Mr Faleke.
Also the immediate past governor Cap. Idris Wada said the tribunal should set aside Gov. Yahaya Bello's election as he was not validly elected.

All other parties who participated in the election, Progressive People Alliance (PPA), Labour Party (LP), Afican Democratic Congress (ADC) and the All Progressive Grand Allance (APGA) are all asking the tribunal that the election of Gov. Yahaya Bello (Fairplus) be set aside.
