The Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has discredit peopl's judgment and criticisms towards the religious bill regulating preaching in churches and mosques in the state.
The Governor has said the only reason why some people are speaking against the bill is due to ignorance and level of understanding.
Mallam El-Rufai speaking with news reporters in Kaduna, task those criticizing the proposed religious bill, which is presently before the state house of assembly (law makers) for screening, to go get a copy and read it before concluding and making opinions.
Mallam El-Rufai, while explaing the importance of the bill in solving socio-economic issues in the state, advised residents to identify the grey areas in the bill with a view to amicably resolve their concerns.
“Honestly, we do have no ulterior motive other than to put together a framework which will ensure that Kaduna State citizens live in peace with every one practicing his religion, but disallowing every Tom, Dick and Harry coming to say he can preach.”
Mallam El-Rufai also shed more light on the current ongoing demolition/ removal of illegal structures/ buildings in the state capital/ city and other parts of the state.
